‘Direct Public Access’ has changed the legal market. Now Private Clients can choose whether to use a Solicitor - or go straight to a Barrister
What is Direct Public Access ?Direct Public Access is the name of the scheme run by the Bar Council and Bar Standards Board that allows members of the public to bypass the High Street and go straight to a Barrister able to provide them with all the legal advice and representation they need.
Traditionally Barristers could only be instructed ‘through’ a Solicitor. Now, in most cases, you can ‘go direct’.
